Established in 1995 as part of the Consulting Medical Laboratories
group which was founded back in 1981 as the first laboratory chain
in jordan, with the aim of improving health service in jordan by
introducing up to date laboratory tests , providing the latest
technology to do the task , opening several outlets in easily
accecable sites for patients, and introducing quality control
concepts to laboratory practice in the private sector.Since then ,we
are working hard so as to keep in pace with the rapidly developing
world of technology and at the same time increasing the level of
awareness of what is useful out of all this enormous information so
that patients will get the most of their money spent on health.We
are proud to be the first in the private sector to do in house
Cytogenetic tests on blood, bone marrow and amniotic fluid
from pregnant ladies to diagnose chromosomal abnormalities prenatal
and post natal . HLA typing for organ transplantation , PCR
techniques all were performed also in house since the early 90;s. I
stress on the word in house because all other laboratories at that
time used to send these tests to Europian countries(England,France)
or to the USA. Flowcytometry , introduced to the clinical practice
in the early 90;s in the developed world was fully functioning in
our laboratory in 1995, and it was a rescue for all oncologists who
needed a new technology along with pathology to diagnose and stage
leukemias and lymphomas quickly and acurately( withen few hours).Of
cource we are not mentioning chemical tests or hormonal tests as
these are considered routine tests and continous up grading of
machinary is going on all the time. As part of our on going
modernization of our labs we are introducing on line laboratory
results system so that all patients and their doctors can access
their specific files at their own convenient time.
